ASEM Workshop on Diagnostics Technologies

The 11th ASEM Foreign Ministers Meeting (ASEM FMM11) in New Delhi in November 2013 had agreed that the dynamism of ASEM should find expression in tangible cooperation amongst ASEM members, with a view to transforming jointly, the challenges faced by our respective regions into opportunities for growth and sustainable development.

Technologies for Diagnostics has been identified as one of the 20 areas for tangible cooperation under ASEM. In this context, the Ministry of External Affairs of India, in association with the Confederation of Indian Industry, has organised the ASEM Workshop on "Non-Invasive Technologies for Diagnostics & Treatment of Diabetes as a Lifestyle Disease" on Saturday, 4 February 2017 in New Delhi.

The event will focus on addressing various dimensions of the disease and endeavour to showcase non-invasive technologies for diagnosis and treatment, while synergising the efforts at tertiary care for improving patient outcomes.

Three participants may be nominated from your country, one each from Government, the professional sector and industry. Participating experts would be requested to share their experience as well as discuss and identify common issues related to prevention, treatment and management of diabetes.

The Government of India will fully fund the organisation of the event and there will be no participation fee. Participants will, however, be expected to bear their own costs for travel, boarding and lodging.

This ASEM Workshop will coincide with the CII International Engineering & Technology Fair 2017 and the CII Health Tech Summit. Participants will have the opportunity to attend both these events on a complimentary basis.
