The 1st ASEM Senior Officials’ Meeting (ASEMSOM1) for the 14th ASEM Foreign Ministers’ Meeting (ASEMFMM14) took place on 14-15 October in Brussels, Belgium. The event was chaired and hosted by the European Union.

The meeting aimed to prepare for the upcoming 14th ASEM Foreign Ministers’ Meeting (ASEMFMM14) to be held on 15-16 December, in Madrid, Spain.

The meeting remained internal and the media presence was not allowed.
