Cambodia as the host of the 13th ASEM Summit (ASEM13) organised the 2nd ASEM Coordinators’ Senior Officials’ Meeting (SOM) via videoconference on 3 June 2020 at 2:00 PM ICT (9:00 AM CEST), with the participation of all SOM ASEM Coordinators, namely H.E. Mr. Stanley LOH, ASEM SOM Leader for Singapore as Coordinator for the ASEAN Group; H.E. Mr. Alexey OVCHINNIKOV, ASEM SOM Leader for Russia as Coordinator for the NESA Group; H.E. Amb. Dražen MARGETA, ASEM SOM Leader for Croatia holding the European Union Presidency; H.E. Mr. Gunnar WIEGAND, ASEM SOM Leader for EU; and Mr. Xiangyang SUN, acting Executive Director of Asia-Europe Foundation. The Meeting was chaired by H.E. Dr. SOK Siphana, Senior Advisor to the Government of the Kingdom of Cambodia and ASEM SOM Leader for Cambodia.
The meeting is a follow-up of the ASEM Coordinators’ Meeting held in April 2020. The objectives of the Meeting were to exchange views and solicit inputs for the preparation of the upcoming ASEM SOM and the ASEM13 Summit.
