Water as a resource and instrument to foster prosperity and stability, as well as its contribution to economic development through (inter)connectivity and to fostering different regional cooperation models was also approached. Participants underscored the need to transform jointly the challenges related to food, water and energy security into opportunities for growth and sustainable development.

The 2-day seminar approached water as an instrument to foster prosperity and stability on different levels, on the basis of each region’s and sub-region’s experience. The Seminar shared good practices and knowledge in order to further promote integrated water resource management at a trans-boundary level.
