Being one of the official side event of the 7th ASEM Summit (ASEM7), the 3rd edition of Model ASEM (Model ASEM3) was held on 25-27 September 2008, in Beijing, China, attended by 135 students and recent graduates from 38 ASEM member states. The event was organised by the Asia-Europe Foundation (ASEF) in support of ASEM7 and shared the same theme: “Vision & Action: Towards A Win-Win Solution“. Participants engaged in discussions on issues that were high on the ASEM agenda, in an atmosphere that emphasised respect and tolerance.

By the end of the meeting, they agreed on a common Final Chair’s Statement, which summarised the contents of the discussions that took place and proposed initiatives to the leaders of the ASEM Process.
