The 4th ASEM Seminar on Nuclear Safety was held from 29-30 October 2015 in Madrid, Spain, addressing the issue of “Knowledge Management to Enhance Nuclear Safety”, which has become a high priority for national and international organizations working to ensure the safe and sustainable operation of nuclear facilities around the world.
The program elaborated on human resources development, education and training, knowledge management and knowledge networking as fundamental pillars of nuclear safety capacity buiding. The Seminar provided an outstanding opportunity to share ideas and experiences and to explore possibilities for Asia-Europe cooperation, and was attended by 110 participants from 27 countries worldwide representing governmental institutions, operators, regulators, technical support organizations, research and development organizations, educational institutions and service providers.
