In reference to the 2nd ASEM Labor and Employment Ministers Conference (ASEM LEMC) held in Bali, 13-15 October 2008, the Government of Indonesia organized The ASEM Conference on Harmonization of Competency Standards in Bali, 18-19 November 2009.

The conference was a strategic forum to share good practices and experiences on the development of competency standards and its certification schemes among ASEM Partners.
