The Seminar on Urbanisation and Sustainable Management of Water Resources was held in Changsha, Hunan Province, China, from 22-23 May 2014. It is designed to inject new dynamism into exchange and cooperation among ASEM partners in improving sustainable water management by providing useful platform for policy exchange, information sharing, and the development of the market of technology and products.
The seminar focussed on the following topics:

Innovation of urban water management, including policy measures, laws and regulations and their enforcement, innovative financing and management evaluation;

Water-ecology-oriented city planning, including water environment impact assessment, flood risk management and urban waterlogging prevention and control;

Water technology innovation and application, including technologies regarding safe drinking water, rain water utilization, centralized and decentralized treatment of urban sewage, water conservation and water cycle, water and fertilizer (medicine) integration technology and facilities;

Case study and networking, including projects introduction, technologies and products exhibition, and networking for pragmatic cooperation.
