The e-Asia-Europe Meeting Research Network 1, together with the University of the Philippines Open University, organised an international webinar on, “The Future of Learning in Higher Education” on 30 June 2021, supported by the ASEM Lifelong Learning Hub.
Education system at all levels across the globe has been experiencing a sea change especially in a rapid way during the pandemic time. Scholars have predicted that these changes would be the new normal and educational institutions across the globe have to fine tune their programs and priorities to meet the emerging challenges. The current landscape certainly seems to suggest that educators will be challenged to think beyond traditional models if they want to keep pace. Disruptive technologies, digital learning, student –centered learning models, individualized instructional designs, global learning platforms, scalability, affordability, equity and quality are some of the challenges of the future higher education. This International webinar deliberates on Future of Learning in Higher Education and identify the possible areas for collaborative research and development.
