The International Asia-Europe Conference on Enhancing Balanced Mobility was held on 5-6 March 2012, at the Pullman King Power Hotel, Bangkok.

The Conference was by the Office of the Higher Education Commission (OHEC), Ministry of Education of Thailand, in collaboration with the ASEM Education Secretariat, located at the German Academic Exchange Service (DAAD). Thailand announced this event at the Third Asia-Europe Meeting of Ministers for Education (ASEMME-3), held on 9-10 May 2011 in Copenhagen, Denmark as well as at the 10th ASEM Foreign Ministers’ Meeting (ASEM FMM 10), held on 6-7 June 2011 in Godollo, Hungary.

The Conference was an opportunity for ASEM partners to share different intraregional and interregional mobility schemes as well as to work out promising models for future student and staff mobility between Asia and Europe.
