The 4th Connecting Civil Societies Conference, an official side event of the ASEM8 organised by the Asia-Europe Foundation (ASEF), brought together over 150 experts and various civil society groups in an effort to bridge "real peoples" between Asia and Europe. Participants discussed a broad range of topics and issues related to Asia-Europe cooperation, and produced "8 Points for ASEM ", their recommendations for further relations between both regions.
