ASEM – Asia and Europe Working Together

14 October 2014

Taking place exactly one month before the 10th ASEM Summit in Milan on 16-17 October, the conference on “ASEM – Asia and Europe Working Together” will be an important opportunity for a public dialogue on Asia-Europe relations. In particular, it will provide an occasion for interested stakeholders and experts outside the official sphere to present their ideas on the ASEM process and its future and to provide inspiration for the official discussions to be held in Milan. The conference is organised by the EU-Asia Centre, with the support of the European Union via the ASEM Dialogue Facility.

Venue: Alcide de Gasperi Room, Charlemagne Building, European Commission - 170 rue de la Loi, 1040 Brussels.

The prestigious group of speakers includes Herman van Rompuy, President of the European Council; David O’Sullivan, Chief Operating Officer of the EEAS; Iwan Azis, Head of the Office of Regional Integration at the ADB; Pramit Pal Chaudhuri, Foreign Editor of the Hindustan Times, and Akiko Kiki Fukushima, member of Shinzo Abe’s Advisory Panel on National Security and Defense Capabilities.
