To celebrate the 20th Anniversary since the establishment of the Asia-Europe Meeting (ASEM) in 2016, the Asia-Europe Foundation (ASEF) invited photographers to participate in the photo competition On the Go, which will be exhibited at the 11th ASEM Summit (ASEM11) in July 2016 in Ulaanbaatar, Mongolia.

Winning entries and a further selection of photos will be published in a photo book, as well as showcased in an exhibition, which will be inaugurated alongside the 12th ASEM Foreign Ministers’ Meeting (ASEM FMM12) in November, in Luxembourg. The exhibition will also be featured in Singapore, Belgium, and at the 11th ASEM Summit (ASEM11) in July 2016 in Ulaanbaatar, Mongolia.

Photos for On the Go focused on the theme of motion and the pace of life in Asia and Europe, illustrating moments where we can be different, yet so alike. The resulting exhibition aims to showcase the similarities shared by people in ASEM countries, despite living very different lives.

The contest was open to emerging and professional photographers from ASEM countries. It is currently open for entries and will run until the 6th of September 2015. More information on submissions can be found here: www.asef.org/onthego
