Universitas Airlangga (UNAIR) together with the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of the Republic of Indonesia and the Asia-Europe Foundation (ASEF) successfully held the commemoration of ASEM Day 2026. Carrying the theme “One Planet, Infinite Responsibility: Igniting Water, Climate, and Ecosystem Action for the Future We Share”, this event took place in the 1st Floor Hall of the Rectorate Campus C UNAIR, Surabaya, on Thursday (23/4/2026). This event highlights the urgency of real cooperation between Asia and Europe in facing the challenges of the global ecosystem.

The event was opened by Prof. Hery Purnobasuki M.Si PhD as Head of the Airlangga Community for Sustainability and Impact and Ambassador Andri Hadi as the Governor of Indonesia for the Board of Governors of the Asia-Europe Foundation (ASEF). ASEM Day 2026 consists of a series of activities, including a talk show attended by 4GoodThings, Pandawara Group, The Sanitizer Indonesia, and UNAIR academic Dr. Nurina Fitriani ST. In addition to the talk show, the event also continued with Sustainability Retreat activities at PSEL Benowo and Eco-Tourism Mangrove Wonorejo.
