Malaysia’s bid to host the 4th Asia-Europe Education Ministers’ Meeting (ASEMME) in 2013 was endorsed during the 3rd ASEMME in Copenhagen on 10 May 2011. Education Ministers from members of ASEM meet once every two years to discuss strengthening cooperation and partnership in education. The ASEMME began in 2008 with the first meeting in Berlin, and subsequently followed up with the second meeting in 2009 in Hanoi.
