The National Revenue Administration of Poland hosted the 11th Meeting of the ASEM Working Group on Customs Matters (AWC) on 26-27 April 2017, in Sopot, Poland.

More than 60 representatives of Customs Administrations from ASEM partner countries, the European Union, and the observer, World Customs Organisation met to discuss the preliminary results of the cooperation activities under the current ASEM Customs action plan. They also prepared proposals for future actions, which will be presented for discussion and adoption during the meeting of Customs Directors General in October 2017 in Berlin.

The current Action Plan for 2016-2017 focuses on several key areas of interest for ASEM partners, such as: trade facilitation, authorized economic operators, coordinated border management, product safety, joint customs operations, paperless customs services, and intellectual property rights.
