Starting from 15 to 19 October 2018, the Asia-Europe Foundation will organise the 3rd ASEF Young Leaders Summit (ASEFYLS3) in conjunction with the 12th ASEM Summit (ASEM12) in Brussels, Belgium. Themed on ‘Ethical Leadership’, ASEFYLS3 will bring together 130 young professionals and students to collectively investigate the notion of ethical leadership in light of present challenges facing societies across Asia and Europe.

The summit marks the quest to further echo ASEF’s work in bringing the youth voice into the ASEM Process. By facilitating personal meetings between participants and ASEM Leaders, ASEFYLS is a platform where youth can share their perspectives and visions with the highest level of political decision-makers.

One highlight of the 3-day packed programme is a dinner hosted by Their Majesties the King and the Queen of Belgium for 30 selected ASEFYLS3 participants at the Royal Palace of Laeken.

The 3rd ASEF Young Leaders Summit (ASEFYLS3) will conclude with two participants presenting a collective youth intervention at the Opening Ceremony of the 12th ASEM Summit (ASEM12), in the presence of leaders from the 51 Asian and European Partner Countries, the EU and the ASEAN.
