Aiming to promote electronic commerce between Asia and Europe, in an environment of global economic cooperation, the Ministry of Commerce, Industry and Energy (MOCIE), the Korea International Trade Association (KITA), the Korea e-Learning Industry Association (KELIA) and the Korea e-Health Association (KeHA) hosted the 3rd ASEM Conference on Electronic Commerce at the COEX Grand Ballroom, Seoul, Korea on Octobrer 27-29, 2003.
The Conference was comprised of three seminars on e-Logistics, e-Learning and e-Health respectively, followed by an ASEM officials’ meeting to implement deliverables in the 2002-2004 TFAP e-Commerce Concrete Goals endorsed by the 4th ASEM Summit in September 2002.
Reflecting the interests of ASEM member countries, the event offered an opportunity to improve mutual understanding and the exchange of information between Asia and Europe on e-Logistics, e-Learning and e-Health. After the seminars, ASEM officials will examine these issues at the ASEM working-level.
