The event is part of the annual series in the framework of the ASEM Sustainable Development Dialogue (the Danube-Mekong cooperation initiative), launched by Hungary upon consultations with ASEM partners in 2012. Lao PDF is a co-sponsor together with Austria, Bulgaria, Hungary, Romania, Slovakia, Viet Nam, and Thailand.
Under the motto, “Integrated Water Resources Management for Sustainable Development”, the 6th ASEM Seminar on Water Resources Management and Sustainable Development was held in Pakse District, Champasak Province.
